This study investigates the teachers' passion for teaching and learning; it sought to determine the implication for academic performance in secondary schools. The study was a descriptive survey guided by 2 research questions. The study was conducted in 15 selected Senior Public Secondary Schools in Port Harcourt, while the population of the study consisted of 732 teachers and 8,481 students. Two hypotheses were formulated and tested using correlational analysis. The results show that there is a strong positive significant relationship between teachers’ harmonious passion and students’ academic performance in senior public secondary schools in Port Harcourt. Based on the results, the study concludes and recommends that the students should take advantage of the passion that teachers have for their jobs and improve in their learning skills, in order to put in an optimal performance.
