Abstract

History has it that Queen Cleopatra took daily baths in donkey’s milk to retain her beauty. Recent analyses of donkey’s milk confirm that it does have certain enzymes and minerals that are very good for our skin, but to wallow neck deep in milk from donkeys Cleopatra needed a herd of hundreds of lactating asses. Quite a call, and surely quite a sight. If she had, instead, used Holstein cow’s milk, she would only have needed a few daughters of Planet, or Manfred, to fill her bath each day … or Clovelly Arthur’s Impact.
