E-banking is the provision of banking services or information to customers through the medium of a computer, television or mobile phone (Allen et al, 2001). Electronic banking has been defined by various scholars as a contemporary facility that provides conventional banking products and services through online platforms. Online banking which can be denoted as virtual banking, is an electronic payment system that allows banks or other financial institutions and customers to conduct a wide range of financial transactions through their website or other electronic platforms or interface of those financial institutions.

This article reviews the responsiveness of the transacting public in Zimbabwe to efforts by the central bank and banks to increase usage of plastic and electronic money in Zimbabwe. The research also seeks to establish the impact of e-banking on traditional banking services in Zimbabwe. In this paper, the researchers have surveyed literature on e-banking and have used secondary sources mainly from the RBZ to analyse relationship between variables using correlation coefficient.
