Abstract

This paper argues that Mohamed A. Eno‘s poetry identifies him as a writer in politics [in Ngugi wa Thiong‘o‘s sense of the phrase] – one who brings to light key issues of public concern so that they are debated for the good of an inclusive Somalia. One of these issues is the quest for justice. In this paper, I examine the different ways he represents this issue, with particular attention to the success with which he does it in two of his poetry collections, Guilt of Otherness (2013) and Vertical Articulations (2015).
