Abstract

This ‘double’ edition for 2019 marks the introduction of the journal’s new ‘Case Study’ section, which will feature original papers based on case material. While the journal will still feature work based on original research and theoretically-driven thought papers, it is hoped that the new case study format will encourage clinicians to write about their work. The decision to write about patients is always difficult, and while the confidentiality of patients needs to be held foremost in our minds, the need for learning from each other and each other’s patients is also essential. The growth of our understanding and skills, individually and as a profession, stands to benefit our future patients.
