Last year, I was invited to speak at various HR conferences and, during my sessions, I started asking my audience what their thoughts were regarding the value of traditional Performance Management systems and processes. I was truly surprised by the number of negative comments I received, as well as the amount of traction some of my quotes received on various social media platforms. My comments seemed to have ignited a fire creating a general swell of discontent from the ranks of HR practitioners across the board.
