The Labour Court, in Letsoalo and Others v Minister of Police and Others (2016) 27 SALLR 120 (LC), considered the following important issues: (a) In the scenario where an employee alleges that he or she made a protected disclosure and, as a result of this, the employer of such employee is meting out occupational detriment in the shape of, inter alia, disciplinary action against such employee, according to the Labour Court in casu, is such employee entitled to approach the Labour Court for interdictory relief entailing, amongst other things, that the employer is prohibited from instituting such disciplinary action?
