Last month we considered one reason that causes stress in our lives – feeling that you’ve lost control of your reality. This month we consider a second reason that causes stress – doing things you don’t want to do. When you have to do things you really don’t want to do, be it in your job, your home or your relationships, you become highly stressed. There are therefore two things you need to do. If you have no choice in doing something you don’t want to do, in order to make it less stressful, you have to reframe it so you see it in a way that gives you a good reason to do it. When you have a good reason to do something, it doesn’t stress you, even though there may be a lot of pressure involved.
