It’s 2020 and by now it’s all systems go and you’re back in the swing of things. In this, my second editor’s note of the year, it seems fitting to share a gentle technique to help keep you grounded in tough or stressful situations. Take six deep belly breaths, look around for five things you can see, and say them out loud. Pay attention to your body and think of four things that you can feel and say them out load. Listen for three sounds. Remember to say them aloud. Name two things you can smell and one thing you can taste and take another deep belly breath. Now that’s better!
