Abstract

The author analyses inequality and - a word he coined to denote socio-economic segregation in Brazil. The country's dual economy produced an economy of segregation between the included and excluded. This gave rise to the rich separating themselves from the masses of the poor in cities, condominiums and shopping malls, among other things. A culture of segregation developed and along with it a logic that led to the creation of this . This condition can be based on racial, religious, sexual and other prejudices. Only a new type of ethic can address this anomaly.
