Abstract

Regular wide QRS tachycardia is VT until proved otherwise. <br>Synchronised electrical cardioversion is the treatment of choice. <br>AF with aberrant conduction is the usual cause of irregular wide QRS tachycardia. <br>Never give IV verapamil to a patient with wide QRS tachycardia. <br>All patients with regular wide QRS tachycardia, or suspected WPW syndrome, should be referred to an arrhythmia specialist.
