Abstract

Attention is drawn to the importance of correct diagnosis of asthma in childhood. While the concept of allergic or true spasmodic asthma is well recognised, little attention so far has been paid to the other, possibly more common, type known as infective asthma or asthmatic bronchitis. Applying the outlook of constitutional medicine, in which the patient as a whole , and not his disease, is studied and treated , medicine to -day has a great deal of offer to the child suffering from infective asthma.
