Abstract

Literature dealing with the effect of sulphanilamide on the streptococcal complications of measles is quoted. The effect of sulphapyridine on 30 cases of measles in natives is descriptionbed with particular reference to the number of days' pyrexia and stay in hospital. The results are compared with those obtained on 28 control cases. The mode of administration of the drug and the average amount used is stated. The difficulty and importance of early diagnosis is stressed. It is suggested that the use of sulphapyridine as a specific for measles should be further investigated.
