Abstract

A case of myoitis ossificans in a young native woman is presented. The following are the characteristic features: a progressive calcification of the muscles of the back, shoulder and hip leading to ankylosis of the left shoulder-joint and formation of bony masses min all the muscles of the back and hips, and associated with this the congenital deformity of the left little toe.
