Volume 20, Issue 8
  • ISSN : 0256-9574

Abstract

The prospects of reparation of tendons without synovial sheaths are much more promising than of the sheath-enclosed tendons. The indications for primary and secondary suture are mentioned. The importance of careful asepsis is stressed. The advantages of brachial plexus anaesthesia, of silk as a suture material, and of the Bunnell-Mayer suture are briefly stated. A table is included to show the results of the methods advocated on 14 consecutive cases, with explanatory notes.
