A case of tick-bite fever is descriptionbed in which treatment was started on the seventh day of disease, by oral administration of a new antibiotic aureomycin in divided doses of 250 mg., totalling 4 gm. The patient became afebrile in 14 hours, and symptomless in 24 hours.
Thirty-three cases were treated by means of intocostrin pentothal sodium and convulsive therapy. Three hundred major convulsions were induced. The method of dealing with respiratory difficulties during treatment has been descriptionbed. In no case was it found necessary to give the antidote of curare (prostigmin).
