Abstract

Several methods are descriptionbed of treating neurotic patients on the principle that neurotic responses can be weakened gradually by reciprocally inhibiting them repeatedly. Markedly beneficial effects of a fundamental kind are usually obtained relatively rapidly. In the present series, 86% of cases were greatly benefited.
