Abstract

Protractility is more important than the length of the nipple. Sore nipples are a common occurence in the first 6 weeks of breastfeeding (BF). The commonest cause of sore nipples is a baby suckling in a poor position. Sore nipples may be caused by an underlying Candida albicans infection
