There are a number of worms that can live in the human body. The most common in South Africa are the roundworm, the threadworm, the whipworm and the tapeworm. Hookworm is found in the northern areas of KwaZulu-Natal. Worm infestations are generally more disturbing than serious however some infestations may lead to a serious deterioration in health if left untreated.
