Abstract

Coughing is one of the most common complaints with which customers present in the pharmacy. Besides understanding the nature and possible causes of coughing, the pharmacist's assistant must be knowledgeable about the various available cough preparations before making recommendations regarding treatment. It is also important to know when the patient requires referral to a doctor for further medical evaluation.
