Ecquid Novi
The focus is on journalism as it relates to societal issues. Volumes 20 to 25 deal with the role of media in society, and more specifically media issues such as journalism education, international and national news flow, the impact of new/digital media, content analysis and agenda setting as it relates to gender, race, minorities, globalisation and development. Though the focus is on Southern Africa and Africa, articles dealing with the above issues elsewhere in the world, are also welcomed. Articles from all methodological points of view and research measures are invited, though there is a trend towards publishing more critical and analytical articles within the context of qualitative research.,

Education as Change
Education as Change is an accredited, peer reviewed scholarly journal that publishes original articles reflecting critically on issues of equality in education and on the ways in which educational practices contribute to transformation in non-formal, formal and informal contexts. Critique, mainly understood in the tradition of critical pedagogies, is a constructive process which contributes towards a better world.
Contributions from and about marginalised communities and from different knowledge traditions are encouraged. The articles could draw on any rigorous research methodology, as well as transdisciplinary approaches. Research of a very specialised or technical nature should be framed within relevant discourses. While specialised kinds of research are encouraged, authors are expected to write for a broader audience of educational researchers and practitioners without losing conceptual and theoretical depth and rigour.
All sectors of education are covered in the journal. These include primary, secondary and tertiary education, adult education, worker education, educational policy and teacher education.,

Educor Multidisciplinary Journal
Research and the development of fledgling academic researchers in higher education is of major importance within the ambit of regulatory and academic requirements, while it is also an academic developmental imperative. The EMJ is a blind peer-reviewed multidisciplinary academic journal that draws from various disciplines to gain a broad understanding, a well-developed perspective or to discover something new. It brings diverse academic disciplines together to discuss and view issues from each of their perspectives.
The journal is the official academic journal of the Educor group of companies. Due to the variety and scope of academic offerings in the Educor group, the journal is generalist in nature as the focus is multidisciplinary. The EMJ provides a platform for new as well as established researchers and academics to publish and share their research expositions.
The journal provides open access to its content, at no cost or prior registration online. We promote the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge. In the same vein, the process of submission, revision and publishing of texts is also free of charge to the authors. It is noted that the expressed opinions, accuracy of facts and interpretations published in the EMJ are those of the authors and do not necessarily represent the views of the Educor group.

Ekklesiastikos Pharos
Ekklesiastikos Pharos was originally published in Alexandria (Egypt) directly by the Greek Orthodox Patriarchate as a theological review at the beginning of the 20th Century. Consequently E. Pharos is one of the oldest scholarly periodicals in Africa. The periodical later on moved to Athens, but since 1990 the African edition, now known as Ekklesiastikos Pharos (New Series) is edited again in Africa (Johannesburg/Alexandria) - under the auspices of the Orthodox Patriarch of Alexandria - by the Institute for Afro-Hellenic Studies (in Johannesburg), at present with the collaboration of the Department of Greek & Latin Studies of the University of Johannesburg. The editors are Prof. B. Hendrickx and Dr Thekla Sansaridou-Hendrickx, both NRF rated scholars. They are assisted by an Editorial Board, composed of international scholars, the Greek Orthodox Archbishop of Johannesburg-Pretoria being ex-officio co-editor. The New Series of the periodical is a peer-reviewed and accredited theological as well as philological-humanistic journal, also publishing research on Modern Greece, Byzantina and Afro-Byzantina.,

Evidence Based Summaries in Dentistry
Evidence Based Summaries in Dentistry is Midentistry's in-house bulletin that publishes on a six-monthly basis plain language summaries of systematic reviews conducted in the field of minimally-invasive dentistry. All selected systematic review articles have been previously published in high-quality peer-reviewed dental journal, listed in PubMed/MEDLINE. Systematic reviews have been recommended as providing the best source of evidence to guide clinical decisions and healthcare policy, and they receive more citations as non-systematic reviews in peer-reviewed journals. However, they are also very technical by nature and make difficult reading for the general dental practitioner. Often, the findings of a lengthy systematic review can be condensed into a few single sentence that provide all information necessary for daily clinical practice. To give such easily discernable information to clinicians is the purpose of plain language summaries. These summaries by itself do not replace the function and merits of full systematic review articles. However, they do ease the wider comprehension and dissemination of its key findings.
