Abstract

The absence of Habakkuk: 3 in the Pesher Habakkuk led to the widespread opinion that the chapter is a later addition to the book. It is not a futile attempt to read Habakkuk 3 in its literary context, because Habakkuk 3 becomes the climax of the book, indicating that trust in Yahwe even gives meaning to the life of the righteous.
