One of the roles of Kenya's National Counter Terrorism Centre, which started operating earlier this year, will be to develop a disaster control and management system for the African country. Kenya Airports Authority's managing director, George Muhoho, reports that the centre will be the focal point for co-ordinating counter terrorism efforts and serve as a databank for information on terrorism. "The center will pool together specialists from intelligence, police, defence, immigration, customs, airports and ports. It will also liaise with friendly international partners, " he reports.
