Protecting our paramedics The South African public responded with unsuppressed horror and outrage to a recent expos? on national television that highlighted the shocking, almost impossibly challenging conditions facing ambulance personnel on duty in the Northern and Eastern Cape provinces. Also featured, in contrast, was the Western Cape's ambulance service, which is widely rated as the most efficient in the country.
