Extracted from text ... A new programme in the USA will significantly increase access to cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and automated external defibrillator (AED) training for first responders. The Royal Philips Electronics company now distributes the Heartsaver AED Anytime programme, says Deborah DiSanzo, general manager of Cardiac Systems for Philips Medical Systems. The programme is part of a suite of self-directed learning products created by the American Heart Association and Laerdal Medical, designed to provide condensed, science-based training. The course includes device-specific training.
