Gamification is one of the most successful ways for a business to engage with its users. Mobile devices are key to event gamification, with smartphones being the most important. Since nearly everyone carries a smartphone around, it is a safe bet that almost your entire audience will be able to participate and be engaged beyond passive listening. Attendee interaction and enjoyment underpin a successful event, but the end goal is also to learn and network. The trick is to make it interesting so that attendees have fun without becoming too aware of these benefits. It is, therefore, important to identify your goals and target audience in advance to engineer the games around what attendees really want.
