Extracted from text ... 15 APRIL 2006 Risk Management Flying in South African skies has become a lot safer following the introduction of a confi dential hazard reporting system designed to identify and manage the risks of fl ying. The confi dential aviation hazard reporting system (CAHRS) represents a new approach to the gathering of critical information used to ensure air safety. The system was launched by the South African Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) at an Aviation Safety seminar in Boksburg in March. Now, anyone wishing to submit a hazard or safety defi ciency report is able to do so by contacting CAHRS ..
