Extracted from text ... TWA May / June 2006 - 25 Steadily increasing air traffic at Bloemfontein Airport has necessitated a major overhaul of the terminal and cargo handling infrastructure. The airport will simultaneously be granted limited international facilities and will accommodate a small number of international flights. The R17-million upgrade is in line with Airports Company South Africa's (ACSA) ongoing development of the country's national and international airports. The primary focus will be on better utilisation of existing space within the terminal to facilitate improved operational flow. A further R2.8-million will be spent on cargo facilities to make provision for increased cargo demands ..
