Abstract

Namibia is an interesting country historically. Back in 1884 it became a German protectorate. After the First World War and Germany's defeat and reparations, a League of Nations mandate handed the territory over to South Africa to administer and after a long, protracted war of attrition, the country finally became Namibia in March 1990.
