It is our aim to promote Patristic and Byzantine studies. Since the New Testament forms part of the Patristic era, we also publish articles on the New Testament. The journal is peer-reviewed.

African Journal of Herpetology

African Journal of Herpetology is an interdisciplinary journal that publishes from diverse fields and disciplines (e.g. systematics, genetics, performance, physiology, ecology, behavioural ecology, ethology, and morphology) that pertain to African reptiles and amphibians. The aim of the journal is to serve as an outlet for original research on the biology of African amphibians and reptiles. The journal appears biannually and there are no page charges.
African Journal of Herpetology publishes original research articles, reviews (including mini-reviews) and short communications. Anecdotal life history notes, range extensions, faunal lists, and teratological notes are not suitable for publication in the journal. Faunal lists are only considered when they include a biogeographical interpretation and the results are of broad zoological interest. In case of doubt, please contact the editor.

AJSTID is a multi-disciplinary and refereed international journal with a special focus on science, technology, and innovation in developing economies, with a special reference to Africa. It has been established on the basis of the recognized role of innovation in the development of economies and on the relative absence of research in the area, particularly in the case of Africa. AJSTID seeks to encourage research along three broad streams. This first is the role of science, technology and innovation in the process of industrial growth and development. The second stream concerns the broader area of socio-economic development. The third invites work exploring the inclusion of innovation and knowledge in cross border integration processes particularly in Africa. AJSTID will solicit submissions on both these research streams at various levels: firms, sectors/industries/clusters, regions and countries.

SAHARA : Journal of Social Aspects of HIV / AIDS Research Alliance

SAHARA is a vehicle for facilitating the sharing of research expertise, sharing knowledge, conducting multi-site multi-country research projects that are intervention-based with the explicit aim of generating new social science evidence for prevention, care and impact mitigation of the HIV/AIDS epidemic. SAHARA brings together key partners in the region, including policy makers, programme planners, researchers in universities and fellow science councils, NGOs, community groups, donors and multilateral agencies to participate in a flexible alliance for social aspects of AIDS research, each contributing on the basis of its comparative advantage.
The journal publishes contributions in English and French from all fields of social aspects of HIV/AIDS (care, support, behaviour change, behavioural surveillance, counselling, impact, mitigation, stigma, discrimination, prevention, treatment, adherence, culture, faith-based approaches, evidence-based intervention, health communication, structural and environmental intervention, financing, policy, media, etc).

South African Journal on Human Rights

Founded in 1985 by the Centre for Applied Legal Studies (CALS) and housed at the School of Law, University of Witwatersrand, Johannesburg, the SAJHR is the leading South African public law journal, publishing scholarship of the highest standard for a worldwide readership. The Journal appears three times a year and is published by CALS and Taylor & Francis (as of January 2016). SAJHR is dedicated to the advancement of scholarship on human rights and justice-related law in South Africa. While this remains the primary focus of the Journal, the editors accept submissions dealing with the enforcement of human rights in other African countries where direct relevance to South Africa is demonstrated. Thematically, the editors accept submissions that deal with human rights, legal philosophy, law and society, constitutional law, administrative law and public international law. The Transactions of the Royal Society of South Africa is the descendant of the Transactions of the South African Philosophical Society, a journal that was published from 1878 by the South African Philosophical Society, a Cape Town group founded in 1877 with the objective of promoting original research about South Africa.
Since 1908 - with the inception of the Royal Society of South Africa as the successor of the Philosophical Society - the impressive Transactions of the Royal Society of South Africa has appeared regularly, showcasing the best significant original research from the sub-continent.After one hundred years of continuous publication, this journal can be mined as a history of science in South Africa. A glance at any contents page of the Transactions of the Royal Society of South Africa will provide evidence of the manner in which diverse topics have coalesced to provide a scientific perspective on the region and added to the body of knowledge about it.
