The African Journal of Information and Communication

The African Journal of Information and Communication (AJIC), established in 2000, is published by the LINK Centre, University of the Witwatersrand (Wits), Johannesburg. It is a peer-reviewed, open access academic journal accredited by the South African Department of Higher Education and Training (DHET). AJIC is interdisciplinary, publishing submissions that explore the myriad dimensions of electronic and digital ecosystems that facilitate information, communication, innovation and transformation in African economies and in the broader Global South. In order to foster research visibility and reach, each contributor is required to have an ORCID identifier, and each article is assigned a digital object identifier (DOI). AJIC does not impose article processing charges (APCs) on its contributors.
